Tammy Knutson

CFO/Board Member

Tammy Knuteson is a highly experienced financial executive with over 35 years in accounting and bookkeeping and over 30 years in tax preparation.

 

She is currently the Chief Financial Officer for a private individual managing seven corporations that generate over $25 million annually, overseeing financial operations, strategic planning, and compliance.

Sara Bohmholdt

Board Member

Sara Bohmholdt works in marketing for a large technology company  and has years of experience in media and marketing strategy as well as building out new product solution offerings within both agencies and in-house marketing teams.

 

Sara spent nine years developing brands and launching marketing programs for technology startup companies and consulting for SMB companies. 

 

For the past 14 years, Sara has focused on higher education marketing where she led student acquisition for institutions across the country in addition to running the agency’s branding and media services team.

 

Sara is also a mentor for the Westminster MBA Capstone program working with students to provide guidance and coaching in completing their final project for graduation.  Sara has participated in numerous volunteer positions while in her current role including; the Grant Review Panel determining which non-profit organization proposals should be funded, the Pro Bono Initiative Residency which addresses and solves a critical need within a non-profit, and various leadership programs. 

 

Sara is a graduate from Westminster College, where she received her MBA in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, fitness, travel, reading, baking, volunteering, health and wellness coaching and supporting local theater.

Christian Kennedy

Board Member

Christian Kennedy is a compliance and risk management professional, adjunct law professor, and dedicated community advocate whose career has been defined by a commitment to governance, accountability, and service.

Professionally, Christian advises organizations on regulatory governance, technology risk, business ethics, and global compliance strategy across industries including biopharmaceuticals and healthcare, digital media and entertainment, and the technology sector. She holds a Master of Legal Studies (MLS) in Compliance and Risk Management from Seattle University School of Law and brings over a decade of experience applying Lean Six Sigma and Quality Management principles to drive operational excellence and risk-informed decision-making. Her areas of expertise span artificial intelligence governance, cybersecurity, data privacy and protection, ethical conduct, cannabis regulation, and global regulatory compliance.

Christian also serves as an adjunct professor at Seattle University School of Law, where she teaches courses on compliance leadership, governance, risk management, and global regulatory challenges — bridging real-world industry insight with the next generation of compliance professionals.

Beyond her professional work, Christian has given generously of her time to causes close to her heart. She has volunteered with the Special Olympics for over 15 years, upholding inclusion and opportunity for athletes with intellectual disabilities. She also served five years on the Board of Director for Dawg Squad, an all-volunteer non-profit specializing in championing dogs with medical cases and hard-to-place breeds, further demonstrating her dedication to community leadership and service.

Christian brings to Lotus Rising International a powerful combination of ethics, compliance, and regulatory expertise, institutional governance experience, and a deeply personal commitment to protecting and uplifting vulnerable communities.
